Ebay suffers Cyber attack

Ok heads up for those who have not heard as yet. I got this from a friend in another forum. Not heard from Ebay themselves as yet.

How severe it was I do not know

There is now an announcement on eBay which appeared at 17.42 today.

However it is not in huge, red capital letters and I had to go looking for it in Home > Community > General Announcements where it appears in tiny print.

It suggests that eBay users may be prompted to change passwords "later today". Why not immediately?

TBH I think it's more the Northern American site that was accessed although this is a guess

I'm hoping that Ebay, Eu was hardly touched. Have enough problems remembering pw's as it is lol

No problem for me. Think I have only used ebay twice ever.

I use it a lot. I bet a lot of console games for my boy on there
I also buy a lot of electrical components as well via china

Password changed now anyway
