ebay site states browser not accepting cookies but everything configured ok???

The ebay site, when trying to log in, is telling me that
my browser is not accpeting cookies. This also happens at
another web site where I can access the web site just
fine, but when I enter search data, it returns "session
expired - this may be due to your browser not accepting
cookies". I am running SP1 and have all updates. I have
even tried custom privacy settings to allow all cookies
but nothing helps. Someone please help. I need to use
ebay immediately.
