I went and backed up my data from my hard drive on a Windows 2000 machine
which uses Easy CD Creator to format CD's to be written to. I then installed
Windows XP on the PC. I went to read my CD's and I found that Easy CD Creator
does not work with XP.

Any Ideas how to get my data?

Thanks,
Rick

Easy CD Creator works fine on 3 of my PC's. Your post is a bit confusing,
When you say you used Easy CD Creator to format the cd's do you mean you
used Direct CD? If so than you need to either install Direct CD or a UDF
reader on your XP machine in order to read the cd's. Direct CD writes disks
using what's called "Packet Writing", XP alone cannot read the disks.

I should have mentioned that only Version 5 or above will work on XP.

Easy CD/DVD Creator 6 was the first version certified by Roxio to be Windows
XP compatible. They are now up to version 8. Maybe it is time for you to
upgrade.
