Easiest way to locate the installers

I have put in storage many installers (exe and zip) on CDs for later use. It
is very difficult to find the required files when necessary. For example
"AdbeRdr60_enu_full.exe" is the executable file for Adobe Acrobat reader.
But when you search with the media cataloging tool (Cathy) you have to enter
atleast "adbe" to find the file. What is the easiest way? Is it okay
changing the Executable file's name to "AdobeAcrobatReader6.0.exe"? Or is
there any other way?

Thanks for any replies

I rename all the software/utilities files that I download and burn to CD or DVD, so that
the names reflect what the files really are (e.g. agentran.exe to AgentRansack.exe).
Although, in your example, I would avoid using any periods in a file name with the
exception of the one before the file extension. AdobeAcrobatReader6.exe, would be a
better choice. If it was a 6.3 version, then I would use an underscore, thus:
AdobeAcrobatReader6_3.exe.

Here after I will change the file name. But if the software already burned
to the cd then?
