EarthLink Search has taken over my Search Assistant

I installed EarthLink Total Acccess and now when I am in
Internet Explorer 6.0 and press the Search button to get
the Search Assistant, I get EarthLink Search instead. I
can customize to select which 4 search sites I want to
use, and I still get EarthLink Search and only EarthLink
Search.
EarthLink told me to download a patch that would "repair"
my Internet Explorer -- and it did not change.
Any suggestions?
