I have this error when i install/uninstall any problem:
"Error 1704. An installation of [some program] is
currently
suspended. You must undo the changes made by that
installation
to continue. Do you want to undo those changes."
.... and even if you click "yes", it reboots, it still
recurs. I finally found that there is a freeware fix
NORMALLY available at http://www.chrismillard.com but
downloads are disabled. Freely distributed as
e1704c.zip, the "readme" explains "E1704C will clear the
registry entries that prevent further installations of
any packages that use Windows Installer. E1704C will NOT
actually install any software on your PC.
Using the registry repair utility for windows is not an
option since it requires to install itself first...so
this script really looks like what i need.
Anyone has e1704c or can direct me to an equivalent
solution?
