Terry, you may have better luck getting an answer in one of the newsgroups
for your email application. I see that you use Outlook Express for news but
you do not mention what you use for reading email. Also a few details about
the kinds of messages that you are having trouble with would be helpful to
anyone trying to help.
In general, I find that OE and Outlook can easily open an email message
saved outside of the program when that saved email is double clicked. If
that's not happening for you , here's a workaround for these programs: drag
the file to the program's inbox and drop it. Then use the already open
application to read the email.
