e-mails backup

hi

i have stored my e-mails in subfolders and i want to make a backup to it,
when i try to do so and the treee of folders are displayed i only can select
and backup a sub folder each time but i have alot of folders haw can i back
them up in one time just by selecting the main root folder is that possible ?

note:
the root folder is not in the inbox folder but its at the same level with it

You're not making a backup but are exporting. For proper backup instructions

What are you using for Backup, maybe the Archive option?, which is not a
backup
MS has a free outlook backup add-in available on the MS Outlook site
