e mails appear as attachments

When I send e-mails the receiver sees the e-mail as an attachment. How do I
change this setting?

Check the method in which you are sending messages. I think sending emails as
MS Rich Text or plain Text might be the culprit...
I had the same issue and switching to HTML made a difference.

Stop using Rich-Text Format. Switch to HTML or plain-text mode.
