E-mailing using Right Click AND "Send To"

I open a directory through a program (windows, acrobat, etc.), and then locate the file I want.
I right click the file and go to the option "Send to" Mail Recipent and it doesn't work.

When I go via the explorer it does work i.e. I can right click the file and then choose send to and mail recipent and I get an e-mail message with attachment.
