e-mail receipt

I have M/S office 2003 When I send out a e-mail and request a read or
delivery receipt can this only apply to other outlook users or any other
mail program?? Also is their an option where i can check so that all composed
my e-mails go out with the receipt option

Since everyone turns off the read receipt function (i.e., they won't
send them), there's no point in bothering trying to ask for them. The
header used to denote the read receipt request is defined by an RFC
standard, not by Microsoft.
