Whenever I get an update from Automatic Update, something changes my default
e-mail program from Outlook Express to Outlook. So I have to go into
internet options and change it back. Probably not the biggest problem out
there but an irritant nonetheless. Any idea why it does this and anything I
can do to make it stop?
Thanks

Annoying yes, but unfortunately that is something we have to live with.
There is no fix nor will there be.

The only fix is to uninstall Outlook. Otherwise it will continue to happen
every month.

I have not seen this happen unless one of the updates pertains to Office.
If you are installing Security patches, I have not seen this (unless
pertaining to Office).

If a newer version of Outlook is installed, the monthly Automatic Updates
will almost always make Outlook the default program because there is an
updater to the Outlook Junk Mail filter.
