Hi Don, did you copy / paste that error message from WM, or did you type it
out?

If the latter then please copy / paste the error to your reply.

Have you set up a "reply address" on the account, Tools>accounts>select your
account>properties>general tab, if so remove it and try to send again.

Why did you tag onto an old message by changing the Subject, instead of
starting a new thread of your own?

Mail System Error - Returned Mail

I copied/pasted. I did not have a return address in properties and it has
been working just fine until yesterday. Only on some messages do I have a
problem???

Sounds like the answer. I sent the email to the same person using yahoo and
it did not bounce. He didn't respond so I'm not sure that he got it but I
imagine that he did.

"jokes" group and it came back with the same. I checked each addy in my
group and none use msn or hotmail???

Can you send a message to yourself, using (e-mail address removed) ?

That's not the complete error message. Expand the error message, then
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

That's not the complete error message. Expand the error message, then
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Issues like this frustrate me with computers, this is why I continue to use
Gmail instead of trying to use windows mail or outlook express. Why cant you
just put in plain english how to fix the problem?? Or are you so above all
the rest of us that you just sit & laugh at our frustration with your
programs?? I thought windows was supposed to be user friendly, not just for
those of you lucky enough to work in Microsoft land but for those of us in
the real world.

Before you blew your top ( I hate mopping ), this is NOT, repeat NOT,
Microsoft.
NO one here, repeat NO ONE HERE, works for Microsoft.
This is just a venue where people will volunteer, repeat VOLUNTEER, to help
others who have computer issues.
I can also assure you that those are NOT our programs.
Now that dust has settled ( hopefully ), please, in your own words, tell us
what is your particular computer problem.
And, if there are error messages, please post them ........ word by word.
I'm a " foreign national ", I don't know fancy English, just the plain one.

Gmail confuses me. I never figured out how to use it.

Don't rustle the feathers of the natives if you want help.

Certainly people sometimes make humorous comments in newsgroups such as
this, but only when there is nothing better to do. For people that sincerely
want to help, it is frustrating when someone asks for help but refuses to
take the time needed to accurately communicate the problem. It would take
less time for you to accurately provide the entire error message than it
took to complain. Or are you here just to complain?

What frustrates me is issues like yours . . . . . . Apparently you have some
problem, but rather than open your own new post with the complete error
message, in plain English, so someone can help you in a user friendly,
professional manner, you post as a reply to a 20-day old thread, give no
info about what your real problem is, and bashmouth the very people you
expect help from. What is anyone supposed to do with that ????

To be sure there is an added level of computer savvy required to use
POP mail rather than webmail. If I may use an analogy, most people
know how to drive a car, but fewer know how to drive a big truck.
If you are not willing to take the little bit of extra time it takes to learn a
more complex mail program, then you should stick with webmail.

This problem occurs when you don`t put the correct ports in the cofiguration.
Go to Tools > Accounts > Properties > Advanced then mark the checkboxes of
SSL. This solved my issue.
