i have just downloaded a trial version of office 2007, with office outlook
express. i had to uninstall my old 2003 version and have lost all the data
contacts etc. i am running an old version of outlook express version 6 i
think so i could recieve e mails temporarily. i now however can send e mails
from the old version to the new but the new wont allow me to send any e mails
at all . as all the buttons for send and forward or reply etc are greyed out.
any one help

My take on this post is that the user is now trying to send with Outlook
2007 for which this group is set up to help with. There is not a lot of
information, but it sounds as if the user may not have set up smtp for your
email server to send email. Check the settings provided by your isp and
enter them for the mail account for which you are trying to send and or
reply to emails with.
