e-mail editor for outlook 2003

If I upgrade my word 2002 to 2003, will it be able to serve as my e-mail
editor for the outlook 2003. Or should/could I down grade the outlook 2003 to
2002 to accomplish this?
 
Thank you. Will either of the choices than enable my word to serve as the
e-mail editor?
 
Yes, that's what I said. The Word and Outlook versions must match.
