In Internet Explorer when I select a an e-mail reply
button at any url I get the response in my system that it
can't find my default e-mail program.

When I go to Tools, Internet Options, Programs, the
option for e-mail is bland and the pull-down is also
blank. When I select "the current e-mail program" as the
default it changes back to NOT selected when I leave the
Internet Options pull down.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

You can try this...
Open Windows Explorer|TOOLS menu|FOLDER OPTIONS|FILE TYPES tab and see if
there is a URL:Mailto Protocol listing. If so, select it and choose the
OPEN option...

Click on EDIT and point it to the mail program that you want to be the
default.

Hi Vern,

Login as Administrator.

Click [Start] [Run] and type this command:
"shmgrate.exe OCInstallReinstallOE" (For XP)
(with the double quotes and spaces)
and
"msimn.exe /reg"

And then make sure that OE is selected as the default mail program in both
IE and OE.
