E-mail attcahments

I know the problems with e-mail attachments but until recently I and my
colleagues could send most attachments especially word documents. This is now
impossible (message says e-mail not sent). Appears this started after recent
Microsoft updates. Any ideas anyone, as this is seriously affecting my
business
 
Generally its anti virus intergrated with outlook that causes problems, do
you have such?
