Recieved a couple of e-mails with Powerpoint slides attached. I am not ab le
to open. Even when I save and try to open with Powerpoint, the slides do not
open. I do see blank slides.

Any thoughts?

Which version of PPT? If 2003, go to Help|Check for Updates and install SP2
for Office 2003.

I'm in trouble. I tried to download and install SP2. I was able to download
but unable to insatall. Also, I'm having other problems. When I open an
application it dropa to bottom of th epage and I can't scroll it up. Also,
when attempting to do other things, I get a continuous beeping.

I've also lost the bottom scroll bar that shows shortcuts for active programs.

Help and thanks for any assistance.

Wow.

Normally I'd ask why you can't install SP2 for Office 2003 -- do you get
error messages? If so, what are they?

But the continuous beeping concerns me. What are you attempting to do when
you get that?

Losing the "bottom scroll bar that shows shortcuts for active programs"
sounds as if you've lost the Windows task bar. I assume you're using Windows
XP? http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318027 might
help. Some of those fixes may take care of the applications opening off the
edge of the desktop screen, too. Otherwise, right-click the top of one and
choose Move, then drag it where you can see it.
