We have two login accounts on our computer. We have always used the same
e-mail address and the e-mails will go into the in box of whoever is loged
on. My internet provider says that my problem in being able to do this on
our new computer with Vista is a windows issue. Could you please help us.

Thank you,

Donna

If you both access the same email account via separate Vista logins, then
you need to configure Windows Mail (under both logins) to leave the email on
the server after downloading.
This way, after one user downloads the email, the second user can login and
download the same email.

Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties - Advanced
[x] Leave a copy of messages on server

[x] remove from server after xxx days

: I too have two login accounts for mail. The problem is
that wah account mail is displayed when I log in; but also wah mail is
displayed when the other account clh is logged in. Clh can't display that
account's mail. I am told to establish 'identities'. To do this go to
files>identities>choose one of three options> then enter the name and
password of each account as an identity. However, when I do this it doesn't
accept the account and password that is always used.
I'm stumped.

What email program are you using?
Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail do not have Identities.
If you are using Steve Cochran's WMIDs program, then you should ask him.

The File > Identities menu item is only for the purpose of importing
emails from an older Outlook Express system.
Windows Mail does not use the Identities feature.
Explain what you mean by "login accounts." Do you mean two
different Windows users? Or just one Windows user with two
different email accounts?
