e-mail a document created in Word 98 (Mac) to Word 2003 (PC)=AFU

Seems to be a comatibility issue when sending my documents from my Mac in
Word 98 to my PC (Word 2003) either via e-mail or via USB stick for e-mail
distribution. The fonts, graphics, layout significantly changed. Any work
around?
