E:/ is not a valid Win32 application.

My laptop has a CD and DVD drive in one. The brand is: Slimptype DVDRW
SOSW-833S.

Lately I've been having problems installing DVDROM video games. When I click
on the game to install it, an error message pops up saying: E:/ is not a
valid Win32 application. It's starting to drive me nuts now, as I can't
install any of my games... I bought an external DVD drive, but it still says
the same error message, so I'm assuming something is wrong with my computer.

Does anyone know what the problem may be and how I can fix it?

Hi seawarrior,

Start > Run and type in cmd and click OK. If Window opens inside of
Window, type Exit and hit Enter.

Start > Run and type in command and click OK. If Window opens inside of
Window, type Exit and hit Enter.

Report back if doing the above steps results in any error messages. It
is related to your problem.
