somehow my granddaughter deleted my E drive (cd) from
windows xp. How can I retrieve it?

Try System Restore first. Go to start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools
and click the System Restore link. Select the "Restore my computer to an
earlier time" button and click Next. Select the latest restore point just
prior to when the drive was deleted. Click Next and follow the instructions.
