Dynamic HDD

A short while ago my system got fried. I have replaced the system but have
come across a problem. Unknown to me the 80GB PATA drive I have was
configured as a dynamic drive. I want to put this drive in the new system
but the data is unaccessible. The only info I can find states I have to
revert the HDD to a basic HDD to make use of it but the existing data will be
destroyed. I want to retrieve this data. Is there any way to get at this
data.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Rich

I have looked at this link and tried all versions that they supply. The
only program that seems to be able to recover the disk is their Data
RecoveryWizard. Unfortunately this has the recovery feature disabled unless
I purchase the full program. It can access all the data. I am reluctant to
buy this program because I might not need to use it again. I won't fall foul
of the dynamic disc setup again. Do you know of another program which is
free to use?

Can anyone else help?

Thanks in advance

Lee
