Dynamic disk and mirroring

I have 2 questions:

1. Using Disk management tool, I'm trying to change my "Disk 0" to dynamic
disk, but the option is disabled. Why? I did the same thing in another 3 PCs
and the option is enabled...

2. In the reality, I want to change my Disk 0 to dynamic to do its mirroring
to my Disk 1. My question is: Is really necessary to have Disk 0 (source)
and Disk 1 (mirror destination) as dynamic disk to Windows 2000 Server be
able to do mirroring?

Thanks,

Gustavo

1. The most common reason for this is that there isn't free space enough in
the end of the disk, used for the private database that is created when the
disk is converted to dynamic.

2. Yes.
