dvdrw no longer in 'send to' box

normally if i want to burn anything with windows media player i use the send
to option. now the dvdrw is no longer in the 'send to' box and i cant burn
anything. i have xp home and media player 10. if i highlight my files i dont
get the option to burn to cd with mp either.

not sure why its gone, but to put it back in the sendto folder follow
this.... double click on my computer so that your drives are shown, then
click on start, run and type in sendto, this will bring up all the items in
your sendto folder, then just click on the dvd drive and drag it into the
folder, this will create a shortcut to it in the sendto folder, hope this

oops forgot to mention, dvd is working fine when reading cd's and dvd's.
ive uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for it in device manager which
lists no problems.
i am using a hp pavilion 400, not sure if u need that info or not, but
thought id add it anyway.

what exactly happens when you try and burn a disc, do you get any error
messages??? try and give as much info as you can....pete

Is this feature enabled in the drive's properties? My Computer > r-click on
drive, select Properties, select Recording tab.
