DVD XCOPY program will not write to disc after installed
WIN XP SP2. Please help
Thank you in advance

dvd xcopy doesnt use its own writting software to burn
discs so the problem is with your burning software try an
update patch for sp2 or reinstall it this should work !

people are free to make backup copys of their own purchased
material. screw the riaa and all it's facist made up laws
for 100% copyright, and their orders of no copys to use, to
save the life of the bought media......

Just because a company goes out of business doesnt mean
their software is obsolete. You invested money to get a
product and you own it. Therefore if you cant find a fix
for a program to function with SP2 and the program is
that important to you, just uninstall SP2. After all SP2
is not for everyone.

My copy of DVDXCOPY came with the Gearworks Burn Engine, and also has a
setting to use Nero, if you have it installed.

Not true. You own the media and use of the version.

Therefore if you cant find a fix

That is corporate copyright owner propaganda. "Fair Use" is the LAW!

I have heard of problems with DVD Xcopy and SP2
321 studio's is under a "revised" court order not to even provide any
support what so ever.Which includes the online activation of it's product,I
had to get a new system and my Xcopy plat. is almost useless. ( I can't
activate it ) However DVD shrink I feel is a much better program to use, less
errors,a preview pane and reginal code removal and best of all it happens to
be free!

I doesn't have burning software included with it so you'll have to use
another program, I use Nero which DVD Shrink uses by default

Free 15 day trial period.

For some really tuff encryption dvd decrypter works well and is compatiable
with shrink

Link to a Shrink forum(I never needed this shrink is easy to use)

A quick guide to show you how to use it.

gearworks or gearsec.exe is the problem with SP2 unless their has been a
recent update for it it is incompatiable with SP2, Drive image 7 also uses
this.

I've been torturing Republicans, but I've been posting from time to time,
until the Hurricane season hit Florida. I'll be gone for the next week [New
Jersey] until the Crazy Russian Hurricane goes by.

Uninstall.

Amen, brother. I keep trying to decide whether all the apologists
for the RIAA and other copyright control freak groups are just
hypocrites, or whether they really are the brainwashed sheep they
seem to be from their posts. I'm thinking, both.

Under most interpretations of copyright law you are correct.

In the case of software, however, you are also bound by the contractual
agreements (EULA) that augment and/or replace the general provisions of
copyright law.
