DVD writing help

Im having loads of trouble with my DVD writer at the minute.
I have always been able to write audio files on a CD-R but recently i have been trying to burn movie files onto a DVD-RW and it will not work.
To try and find out what the problem was, i tried copying some audio files onto the DVD-RW and they wont work either.
To check if the writer was, for some reaosn, broken, i tried copying audio files to a CD-R again and it is fine.
I dont understand what the problem is.
I also recently got some software called Click n Burn pro to try and help, but when i start up the program it says that no combatible recording drives have been found on the computer!
Can anyone help me?

First are the things you are burning to disk, burning ok, are they on the
disk...?
What is the file type of the movie files you are trying to get to work and
what procedure are you using to burn to DVD.
What are you trying to play the DVD disk on for movies and audio...?

Also, did you not get any burning software with the drive?

The audio files copy fine to CD-R but other files dont work and audio files wont copy onto the DVD-RW (BUt it is a DVD burner drive)

I dont know what you mean by procedue, i just click 'Write files to disk'.
The files are varied from MPEGs to RealMedia files to just 'Video Clips' for Windows Media player.

They never copy to the disc so i cant play them.

Windows has no built in dvd burning compatibilty, so will not do it, this I
feel is most of your problem..
I'm not familiar with click and burn, could you supply a link for
investigations?

Click n Burn does support DVD burning.
I want to burn movies and movie files onto DVD but the only things that i am able to burn are audio files to regular CDs, even though i have a DVD burner. That is the problem.
