DVD writeable drive!

My computer has a cd player installed in it form the manuf. I purchased a
SD-R5372 Dual layer dvd burner to install in an external Housing to hook up
to my unit by USB 2.0. Do I need to change the jumper from master to slave
or just leave it alone? Don't really understand the master/slave concept
anyway. Thanks for any help you can give me. I'm trying to learn by asking
these questions.

You should be good to go, The master/slave settings are if both drives are
using the same ribbon,since this is connected via usb no changes are needed.
