What burning software are you using? XP doesn't have any built-in
ability to burn DVD's. Were you ever able to burn DVD's? If yes, what
changed between the time you could and the time you couldn't?

I recently had a similar problem. I found finally that there was a conflict
with another cd/dvd program called "DVD Idle Pro". This prevented my copy
program from seeing a dvd disk as anything but full. When I turned it off
everything proceeded normally.
