DVD-RW DVR-103

I have a Sony VAIO RX-490TV computer. I recently installed XP and now my
DVD-RW Drive does not write CD's. Haven't tried DVD's, still working on the
CD issue.

I checked the Sony sight and installed the new firmware that was
recommended. Still no luck. I checked the system configuration and the
driver installed for the DVD-RW drive is the same as the CD-ROM drive. I
suspect that this is the problem. Am I correct? If so where do I get the
right system driver?
