dvd rw drive not recognized

After installing Windows Upgrade SP2, my computer now
fails to recognize my 2nd drive as dvd-rw or any blank
dvd media that it contains. Rather, it recognizes the
drive as a CD drive.

I can play dvds. I can play/burn cds. I cannot burn
dvds.

Any advice is much appreciated.

I have the same exact problem. Installed the SP2 and now
I cannot burn ANY DVD's whatsoever. I too can play DVD's
and play/burn cds but CANNOT burn DVds. It is not
recognzing any type of DVD in the drive. Updated the
firmward on the DVD-RW drive. Still cannot burn

PLEASE HELP!!
