DVD-RW: Does XP have native driver?

I am using XP SP1, with NO updates. I know, I know...I have my reasons. (Mad
at updates and happy the way things are.)

I wish to buy a BenQ DVD/CD RW +- etc. burner and it happens to be OEM. No
disk is included. On the BenQ site, there is no driver offered for my writer
(possibly because it is OEM?). Can I assume that there is a driver within XP
SP1 of the generic type that can work with this type of burner? The model is
DQ60 BG.

And if not, how would I sift through the Updates in an efficient manner to
find my driver?

Thank you.

Yes, no drivers required - but you will need the OEM burning software
that is tied to that drive or purchase a licenced copy from Nero or
whoever.

Thanks, Roberto! I have ordered Nero. ;)

Many retail packaged DVD RWs package Nero for burning purposes for DVD RW.
Nero does not provide any sort of driver for the purpose of expanding beyond
a cdrw in XP. However, XP should natively see all files on a written DVD
media with a DVD ROM or DVD RW.
Writing is up to Nero or other such 3rd party burning software to DVD.
