DVD RW and DVD Rom

ok i am running windows xp pro, and for some reason it will not allow me to
run 2 drives at the same time if one is a DVD rw and the other is a dvd rom
drive, i have also tried it with and dvd rw and a cd rw when one is connected
that one works fine but when both are connected both drives disapear out of
my computer and it is like neither one is connected at all. what can i do to
fix this problem, i want the ability to burn dirctly from source dvd to
destination dvd rw.

If the drives are IDE devices and on the same cable do you have them
jumpered correctly as Master and Slave?

The drives should be set up on separate IDE channels.. Well, at least that's
what the Nero burning app "error" window indicated when I tried to burn from
my DVD-ROM drive to the DVD/CD-RW combo.. Make sure the drives are seen in
the BIOS and are both set to auto config, set the jumpers accordingly and you
should be good to go..

yeah i'm an idiot i forgot to change the jumper from master to slave on the
dvd rom drive thanks for making me look stupid lol thank You for the help.
