DVD-Ram support

I have an LG 4163b multi drive. Vista reads RAM and I can drop files to the
drive and it writes them. No problems other than a bit slow at reading the
contents.

So I don't need the ram software (panasonic) that I used for XP then?
I am using A NEC ND-4570A and a LG 4187b.
