DVD-RAM Support in WinXP

Can someone who has a DVD-RAM (not just DVD-+R/-+RW) please
comment on the operation of FAT32 (re)write to DVD-RAM discs.
In particular, does the writing happen as true random access immediately
or does it perform some kind of multi-session writing that delays writing
until the disc is ejected?

DVD-Ram is not directly supported by XP. You need to use a third party
software like Roxio or Nero.

I believe its doing packet writing. I am using Iomega's backup to my
DVD-RAM.
