dvd problems

i got a new dvd burner and it cant read anything. when i go look ho
its going it says its working just fine
 
whats the make and model? have you tried the manufacturers website? is it
IDE or SATA connection?

just about to say "theres no such thing as a SATA dvd-rom / wirter" then i
googled it
