DVD player

Hi,
I have a Gateway computer (they've gone out of business in
Australia) and had Windows 98. The computer has a built-in
DVD player. Now I have installed Windows 2000 and the DVD
player won't work. I've tried reinstalling the DVD playing
function via the Gateway Desktop Application CD, but it
still won't work. It also mentions installing an audio
card.
Many thanks,
Lyndal

How isn't it working?

Because MPEG2 codecs (needed for DVD) are for-pay, usually if you upgrade an
OS, you have to buy a new MPEG2 decoder...
