DVD Player Suddenly Doesn't read

Can someone tell me how I can get my F: drive to read DVDs again.

I was able to watch dvds on my computer now I can't. When I go into
properties of the "DVD/CD-RW drive (F Properties
It shows MATSHITA UJDA750 DVD/CDRW on this properties windows under the
DRIVER tab I click on Driver Details and I see
5 different driver files, but 1 doesn't have a check mark next to it
C:\Windows\System32\DRIVERS\PxHelp20.sys
I noticed it reads SONIC SOLUTIONS Driver not signed.

Is this why It can't read DVDs. CDs Play Fine. CPU Games Play Fine it's
just DVDs

How can I fix this problem? Did I delete a file to make it not work?

The other files with check marks are
cdrom.sys
imapi.sys
redbook.sys
storprop.dll

Please can anyone help me because I am in the hospital trying to make my
stay as comfortable as possible and watching 5 channels is not cutting it for
me.

Hello,

It could be the laser/lens failing - try using another drive.

DVD drives use two lasers/lens - one to read CD and another for DVD disc.

You can try purchasing a lens cleaner kit and see if it helps. Otherwise,
you will need to replace the drive.

To rule out that it is not the DVD causing problem, try playing it on
another PC.

I think u mean the actual movie disk, If that is what u mean I can play
movies on other computers. My drive also reads game disks perfectly fine.
What is the meaning of The driver that isn't signed. Do u have any knowledge
on how I can fix that problem.

My situation is- I'm in the hospital for a little while and there is only so
much I can sleep, read, or watch the 8 ch. they show.

Im using a Sony Desktop cpu so it only has 1 drive.

Are your Game Disks in DVD format? If not, it still does not rule out that
the DVD laser is failing.

With regards to the driver isn't signed,

Try searching on Windows Update for a signed driver, but if it is not
available on the site, it just means that the manufacturer did not send it
to be certified by Microsoft.
