DVD Playback using MMC8.8

Novice

I have an AIW 7500 running MMC8.8 (after upgarding to MMC8.8 it is finally
working with output to the TV).

My problem now is that the DVD play starts okay but does not display.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with the Lord of the Rings DVD, which
works great using the DVD player that is on the DVD or a more general
problem.

Your advice is appreciated.

is theater mode enabled in display control panel advanced settings
