DVD/ISO Problem in XP

Hi,

I got a serious problem with my Windows XP SP2 (32Bit) OS. I just
changed from Windows XP 64Bit due to some problems. Now I cannot burn
DVDs with my DVD recorder (it completes the recording session but is
empty when I try to read it), but I can record regular CD-R. The same
problem exists for virtualization of disk devices, like Alcohol120%,
Daemon Tools etc.
I can mount regular CDR iso files with e.g. Daemon Tools, but DVD iso
files can be mounted but not read. The following error is displayed
when trying to read a mounted DVD iso from the virtual device:
"Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or
it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows."

This worked with Windows XP 64Bit. And I also use NTFS (of course) so
it's not the FAT32 limitation, though it seems to be a limitation
problem with big files?

I googled _alot_ for an answer and I havent found an answer, only a
lot of people having the same problem.
What should I do? Re-install Windows and hope for the best? Repair the
system?

The CPU I use is Intel Core 2 Duo btw. (Should'nt mather?)

Best Regards,
Nergal

The native Windows burning function won't do DVD. You need third-party
applications such as Nero to burn DVDs.

I am using Nero. And the problem exists while mounting ISO files with
virtualization software as well, as stated.

nergal,

Weird as it sounds, but DVD Decrypter might be able to burn those ISOs
to DVD...
