DVD: Failed to load the audio decoders

Hello,

when I try to play a DVD, I get "fatal Error. failed to load the audio
decoders".

Windows Media Player 10 and another 3rd party app play the dvd OK. TV Viewer
and File player work OK, including recording.

XP SP2; MMC 9.3; radeon 8500/TV Wonder PCI

One thing I should mention: I installed DVD Player 7.6; MMC 9.3 during the
installation said that it did not see dvd decoder, and DVD wouldn't be
installed. However, DVD then appeared in the installation menu as checked;
and when DVD Player starts up, it reports itself as 9.3.

Any tips?

thanks

The ATI software/driver CD needs to be in the DVD or CD-ROM drive when you
update drivers.
But only for the DVD player, all other ATI software does not care.

The installation of dvd player asked for the cd, and it was given to it. MMC
installation did not ask for the CD. Both installation succeeded.
