Windows XP DVD drives

Hi all
I have just got new PC with multiple drives and I am finding it confussing when navigating, I have a internal SATA dvd rewiter and an external USB dvd rewriter, can anyne tell me how to assign names to these drives to make identification easier. Sorry if this is a basic question to you guys but all help apprecited.

I wouldn't bother ... External drive letters can change at a whim.


Your internal drives will all have fixed drive letters, if you can't remember them, use an indelible pen, such as a CDR marker pen, and write on the drive what they are ... :D

DVD Drive

Thanks for that Muckshifter, how do you get the snazzy icon for your hard drive showing amount of space used.

It is the default view in Vista ... I press the Win-Key + E ... as I have always, and that is what I see. :thumb:

In XP, use the same shortcut keys (windows key + E), right-click the hard drive and select properties.
