dvd drive + cd drive

I recently upgraded my motherboard and cpu, i am running
xp pro... the computer will not start if both dvd and cd
drives are connected, it will start if one of the drives
are connected (either) but not both, any ideas please

Hello Alan

If you did not do the following see link below, this is what you need
to do first another thing check your jumper on the cdrom ok and make
sure 1 is set to Master and the other to 2 ok

Do a repair install
