DVD DOESN'T WORK

Help ,,My computer had a problem a few months ago... I
had to do a reboot. Everything works fine except I cant
play a dvd movie.. the drive works with everything else..
(playing cds, looking at pics, downloading programs,
recognizes name of cd. tells info about it ,, just wont
play it also knows name of dvd... thanx
