DVD copying problems

My system has the following spec:-
AMD 2600
1Gb ram
200Mb hd
DVD reader
Liteonit CDRW
XPHome

When I attempt to back up my DVDs to VCD or SVCD,
whatever program I use, I have the same problem. The cd
plays perfectly on my PC, but the sound is always out of
sync when played on a DVD player. I have tried setting
and unsetting the option to synchronise video/sound in
each of the programs I use to copy, but this has no
effect.I have tried "WinCopyDvd", "DVDMagic" and three or
four others, can anyone shed any light on this??

These problems have nothing to do with Windows XP nor any Microsoft Program.
For support you need to contact the maker of the software you are using.

You need a new DVD player- one which handles DVD-R discs better than the one
you have now. You confirmed this when you said that the discs play
perfectly on your computer- meaning that the burn went fine and the DVD was
created properly. Take one of your created DVD's in to the electronics shop
when you go out to make your purchase, and find a unit that plays the disc
as flawlessly as it looks and sounds on your computer.
