dvd/cd-r

my dvd/cd plays both music cd's and dvd movies. But when I try to burn a
torrent file with sonic, the computer won't start burning, after I put a
dvd-r in the tray. Am I missing a driver or some kind of codec? Please help

May be an Autoplay issue..?

Can you run Sonic manually and burn to DVD-R..?

I had the same problem. Turned out to be I needed a driver ver upgrade on my
JMicron contoller. If you have a JMicron controller, you need to be at ver
1.17.x.x.
