Hi,

I had 2 LG DVD RW drives. One was a max 8x writing and the other was a
max 16x writing. At 8x, it wrote discs together in about 12 minutes.

I replaces the 8x writer with another 16x writer. Separately the
drives write a DVD at 16x at about 6 minutes. However, when they are
used together it takes over 30 minutes to write the discs.

Both drives are set to Cable Select, like before. On the IDE, I have
it set to use DMA if available.

Anything I am missing?

Thanks, Brian

May I presume they're on the same data cable? That's twice as many
electrons trying to fit through the same door.

Brian,

Are you saying that old configuration gave you two DVDs burning
simultaneously (one in each drive) in 12 minutes and new configuration is
taking 30 minutes for the same?
