dvd burner spins

I have been trying powerdvd 6 to get dvds to play. . Worked but conflicted
with mediaplayer 10...bad . Tried nvidia decoder compatable with 10 but
didnt play dvd no picture/sound. Now have autorun problems when I insert
cds and cant install stuff. I hate dvd software.Also standby problems..
Already fixed this once but I did a restore and removed the player. Tia
