DVD Burner Help please

ii have a CD rom Burner, but would like to catch up with the technology
and purchase a DVD burner.

The reason for this is that I have a small video camera, and storing,
let alone editing, the videos is very expensive on hard drive space.

the camera I have is a SONY, and this has a firwire attachment to allow
the use of a Burner direct with no software required.

What I need is a DVD burner that is able to allow me to plug the camera
into it and then use the built in camera programme to copy the picture data.

Any suggestions on which one to look for in the UK??

Thanks for the help in advance.

Standard method of storing video is.. Camera > Computer > Storage +
Software.
DVD burners don`t have firewire input.

Recently, standalone set-top DVD burners have been available for less
than $200. Some even have DivX/MP4 playback.
