DVD Audio disjointed from video

Okay, I finally got my movie burned to a DVD using Sonic MyDVD in the wmv
format because it wouldn't let me do it in the DV-AVI format--and NOW the
audio track is way behind the video track, so that voices don't match mouth
movements, etc. Plus, it moved my music tracks off a bit. SO frustrating,
since I had everything all lined up perfectly. Any suggestions?

Mary again.

Wow. Okay; I have all sorts of stuff going on: video in wmv (and
corresponding audio--wouldn't that be the same?), music in both wma and mp3,
and stills in jpgs. I guess it's no wonder it got messed up in the tranfer.
Perhaps I should just stick with a CD and let my friends watch it on their
computers rather than their TVs. Man, this is all so complicated! But thanks
so much for your help; I appreciate it. -- Mary

its far more likely the mp3's are the culprits rather than the jpgs.
here's a couple of tricks to try:
use windows media encoder to convert all the mp3s to wma files before
starting.

the other thing I try and do when working on very large projects is create a
movie first, without any added audio track, then re-import your newly
created movie back into movie maker, and then add your audio track and save
again.

| What were the file types used in the project?
| video is best in dv-avi or wmv, audio in wmv/wav, stills in bitmap, having
| mpegs/mp3's adn jpegs present can cause future problems.
